New season - French dubbing

Welcome to our 2023-2024 season! 😃

As might have noticed, our new French content has been dubbed instead of recorded in French. What does that mean? This means that all of our videos for season 23-24 have been recorded in English (compared to French for previous seasons). Why this decision?

1. Moozoom has made the deliberate decision to implement French dubbing in order to enhance accessibility to our platform, particularly for a wider range of children. As a privately funded enterprise without financial backing from the Qc government, we are compelled to optimize our resources. By introducing French dubbing, we have unlocked the potential to provide our diverse customer base with access to three languages—French, English, and Spanish—without incurring additional expenses. This strategic choice not only aligns with our resource-efficient approach but also lays the foundation for generating content tailored to the needs of middle school students, who are in great need of (SEL) support.

2. In dubbed videos, although efforts are made to preserve the Quebec accent, the expressions are more accessible, making them easier to understand for all French speakers.

3. In multi-ethnic environments, this encourages the participation of parents who only understand English, enabling them to become more involved in their children's learning. This is all the more important as they often don't have the chance to get involved in basic subjects, which are taught in French.

4. Last but not least, we can't forget the schools with international programs that make learning three languages a compulsory part of their curriculum.
